I love me some Brother Ali. Been a fan for a long time and he was one of my favorite interviews.
Here’s a recent interview from Minneapolis NPR with Mr. Brother.
This is an example of how not to do an interview. No one is more naval-staring than musicians. The whole interview just lets him go off into the philosophical ether. I, of course, find it captivating. But for the 90% of the NPR audience that has no idea who Brother Ali is, this is just fanboy mental masturbation for the host and Brother Ali fans.
Just sayin’.
